We are here. Only one bag did not arrive. And David who comes tomorrow!
I am in LAX and hopefully in the right terminal although with a six hour layover they haven't posted the flight yet. It has been a crazy health week for my family members but the beauty of technology means that I can speak to familyl all over the world from my chair here in the airport and get updates. Spoiled and very glad for technology...and other technologies that have saved a few lives probably this week.....it's been that kind of a week. This airport reminds me of how un-busy Nee Mexico is.....It is going to be a wonderful challenge being in Manila for over 2 weeks.....I think my next plane to Tokyo is going to be much bigger than the ABQ-LAX one.. I have just spoken with Tutham, my collaborating Filipino teacher who is based in Quezon City, just outside of Manila. We used an app called Viber which allowed us to talk for free. We can also text and send voice messages to each other through it. Incredible -and the 'line' was really clear. She has done so much work to organize the schedule for us. I think the time is going to go by really quickly...The school she teaches at is Ateno de Manila High School which is an all boys school, that also has other schools going k-university. So much more to tell you all later.....
