I have been teaching at Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 2004. I am part of the Science Department and the Outdoor Leadership Department.
Prior to teaching in formal classroom education, I worked for seven years at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. It was here I began my journey in to seeing the link between global and local.
The challenge is that there is so much content I can teach...how do I best meet the needs of my students in the 21st century and help them gain perspectives of the local community and the greater world around them?
